Janet Hsieh is a lifestyle expert. She is the host of all nine seasons of “Fun Taiwan” on the Discovery, Travel, & Living channel. Hsieh enjoys traveling, cooking, dancing, exercising, kickboxing, and photo taking. She describes herself as a professional traveler and a lifelong student. Adam Richardson is the Creative Director at Frog Design, a global innovation firm. He oversees many of frog’s strategy engagements for product, digital and brand clients. Clients have included DaimlerChrysler, HP, Microsoft, Motorola, Oral-B, Sun Microsystems, Vodafone, and Yahoo. Richardson has a BFA in Industrial Design from the California College of the Arts (CCA) and a multi-disciplinary MA from the University of Chicago. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Industrial Design program at CCA, where he has taught design research.

Alex Trup interviews popular Mandopop singer David Tao (陶喆) after giving his talk at TEDxTaipei in July 2010. You can watch his talk (in Chinese) here.

David Tao is one of the most famous singers/songwriters in the “Mandopop” industry. He is best known for creating a unique mixture of a cappella, folk, R&B, rock and Chinese opera. Tao’s works not only revolve around traditional themes of love but also deal with social and cultural issues. He has been called “the Godfather of Mandopop.” With the release of his sixth album, “Zero To Hero,” in 2009, Tao is now shifting his career focus from music to film so that he can pursue his other lifelong dream and passion.
